Overview Engineering Manager (AI Agents) | NYC | $300k-$360k Base + Equity One of the fastest-growing AI companies in the world is hiring an Engineering Manager to help build the next generation of AI agents. The company has grown from a $650M valuation to $4.5B , recently closed its Series D , and is already powering customer experiences for companies including Duolingo, Chime, Cash App, Hertz, Oura and more. New York City (5 days onsite) They're looking for someone who still enjoys solving difficult technical problems while leading a high-performing engineering team. You'll remain close to architecture, work directly with enterprise customers, and help define the future of AI-powered customer support. Responsibilities AI agents handling millions of real customer conversations LLMs, agentic workflows and multimodal AI Building products from scratch rather than maintaining legacy systems Defining technical strategy alongside Product and Research Qualifications 5+ years of software engineering experience 1+ years leading engineers (or an experienced Tech Lead / Staff Engineer ready to step into management) Experience building distributed systems or customer-facing products Python and/or TypeScript Comfortable remaining technically involved while growing a team #J-18808-Ljbffr Hatch Talent
