Location: Richmond, VA Department: Retail Sales

Davenport is seeking a hard-working, detail-oriented, and business-minded professional to join its Retail Sales team. This full-time, hourly position will either: support a dedicated team of advisors on a day-to-day basis, or support multiple advisors/teams throughout the department based on where coverage is needed. As a Client Service Associate, your primary responsibility is to serve the needs of the financial advisors with regards to servicing customers and fostering a positive relationship between clients and the firm. You will be working on a team with an experienced Client Service Associate and may be required to serve as back up to other Client Services Associates as necessary. An ideal candidate will have knowledge or interest in the financial services industry, and excellent customer service and communication skills. Responsibilities

• Submitting client requests for checks, wires, transfers, and security registrations
• Helping clients to understand their monthly statements and annual tax notices
• Answering phones, filing, and preparing correspondence
• Acquiring cost basis
• Responding on a timely basis to operational notices
• Assisting with all forms of account paperwork
• Maintaining records and files as required by the Compliance department
• Processing mailings and arranging seminars
• Working with internal service departments including Operations, Financial Services, and Research, among others
• Cooperating with co-workers to cover various needs as they arise in the sales area

Qualifications

• College Degree and/or related industry experience
• SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 Licensed, or must obtain within 2 years from date of hire
• Extremely well-organized, detail oriented and accurate; must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Highly motivated with excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to learn and master computer programs that house customer data
• Basic bookkeeping skills and record keeping ability
• Ability to understand and adhere to industry rules and regulations
• Professional demeanor
