Here’s where you come in We are currently seeking a Market Leader—Optimize Ed/Optimize Med to join our team as a member of our growing Energy team in our Southeast region. This entrepreneurial leadership role combines people leadership, strategic planning, business development, technical services, and customer engagement. Business Development Builds and owns market strategy for McKinstry’s Technical Services Integrated Solutions focusing on higher education and healthcare Responsible for the successful management of larger contracts for complex customers with an emphasis on optimizing and maintaining facility assets Capable of SWOT analysis, competitive analysis, as it relates to Technical Services Integrated Solutions strategies and market development Develop, motivate and inspire high performing sales teams Maintains sales forecast models Reports identified potential business risk elements and participates in mitigation efforts Creates and delivers processes, standards, and communication channels to increase efficiency Client Relations Builds and maintains relationships with industry leaders, associations, and organizations in regional or vertical markets. Partner with clients to prioritize and solve problems while driving efficiencies. Guide clients through energy efficiency project financing and contracting processes Utilizes McKinstry’s tools and processes to support our customer relationship strategies Perform other duties as assigned What we would like to see from you 10‑15 years of Built Environment experience. Knowledge of building infrastructure systems, facility management, and critical facilities (Higher Education and/or Healthcare) is required. Financial/performance contracting experience including previous leadership, sales, and marketing with an energy services or related organization, with responsibilities for identifying leads, closing sales, and providing oversight to a project implementation team required. Demonstrated experience positioning a solution in the marketplace and building a team to execute strategy. Established relationships with industry leaders, associations, and organizations in regional or vertical markets that align with McKinstry business goals. Technical aptitude with delivery of programs but also possesses C‑suite seller DNA. Has “owned” their business segment and has an entrepreneurial spirit. Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management or equivalent business experience required. Energy/ESCO experience a plus. The pay range for this position is $215,600 - $327,700 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
