Physician Coding Manager

Full Time. Days.

Job Summary:

Bertrand Chaffee Hospital Campus a community-governed non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential health resources to our community, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician Coding Manager to join our team in Springville, New York. As a lead member of our coding team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely coding of outpatient services (Primary Care and Specialties), maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines, providing exceptional patient service, and day to day management of union coding staff.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the coding process for outpatient services, including coding, abstracting, and indexing patient records

• Ensure accurate and timely coding of services, adhering to regulatory guidelines and hospital policies

• Collaborate with healthcare providers, coding staff, and other stakeholders to resolve coding discrepancies and improve coding accuracy

• Develop and maintain coding policies and procedures, staying up-to-date with changes in coding regulations and guidelines

• Provide training and guidance to coding staff, promoting ongoing learning and professional development

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of coding activities, including reports and statistics

Requirements:

• 1 - 3 years of experience in outpatient coding or billing management, with a focus on CPT and ICD-10 coding

• CPC credential is preferred

• Strong knowledge of coding regulations, including HIPAA and CMS guidelines

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines

• Position is 100% on-site.

• $51,500 - $66,500 salary range, based on experience
