Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: ICU Nurse, located in the metropolitan area, is responsible for providing specialized care to critically ill patients within a dynamic hospital environment. The role involves managing a combined acuity unit that includes ICU, PCU, and MST patients, utilizing advanced skills to monitor and treat a wide spectrum of acute conditions. Job Details: Certifications: ACLS, BLS; minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required. Education: RN license required. Location: The position is based in the designated healthcare facility in the metropolitan region. Experience: At least 2 years in ICU setting; experience in PCU/Med Surg beneficial. Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Responsibilities include managing patient care across multiple acuities, performing 12-lead EKGs, reading cardiac strips, and operating critical RT equipment such as vents, Cpap, and BiPap. The role requires flexibility for floating to other units including Pediatric and West Campus ICU/PCU to maintain competency. Nurses must pass and maintain proficiency in a dysrhythmia exam, with policies in place regarding facility work within the past year and radius restrictions.
