Plesh Electric is a 30-year electrical contractor in Central NJ — generator installations, service upgrades, panel work, and full residential and commercial projects. We've built our reputation on showing up when we say we will and doing work that reflects our name.

We're growing fast. The goal is $5M, with four to five crews running simultaneously. To get there, we need someone to take the estimating function completely off his plate — and own it.

What this job actually is

This is a high-volume, fast-turnaround role in a growing shop that does not slow down for bad days. You'll be going out to locations for site visits for estimates and taking off construction plans — residential rewires, panel upgrades, generator systems, remodeling, commercial projects — and producing accurate, complete bids fast enough to be competitive.

This is not a slow-paced office role. Plesh is growing aggressively. The bid pipeline is going to grow with it. If you need a lot of hand-holding to stay organized or you need to be chased down for updates, this will not work.

Compensation:

$85,000 - $115,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough site visits to gather accurate data for estimates, ensuring every detail is captured.
• Develop precise and competitive bids for residential and commercial projects, aligning with our $5M growth target.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and clients to ensure estimates meet project specifications and timelines.
• Maintain organized and clear records of all estimates and bids, ensuring transparency and ease of access for the team.
• Proactively communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best pricing and availability for materials.
• Regularly update the team on the status of active bids, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned.
• Identify potential challenges in the estimating process early, proposing solutions to keep projects on track and within budget.

• Experience in electrical estimating for residential and commercial projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
• Ability to conduct thorough site visits, capturing every detail necessary for precise estimates.
