Work Environment

This position is designed for those who prefer an onsite work setting while serving clients in a home care framework. Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations utilizing a variety of standardized tests—including range of motion and functional tests—to assess the degree of physical impairment in patients.
• Treatment Planning: Develop and adjust personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and physicians, ensuring alignment with their recovery goals and adapting approaches based on ongoing performance and feedback.
• Direct Patient Care: Implement safe and effective therapeutic interventions, utilizing modalities such as heat, light, sound, massage, and specialized exercise techniques.
• Education and Support: Provide clear instruction to patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, self-care techniques, and home exercise programs to facilitate independence and promote ongoing recovery.
• Collaborative Consultation: Work as a consultant for physicians and multidisciplinary health teams, offering insights into functional capabilities, treatment progress, and adaptive equipment needs.
• Supervision of Staff: Mentor and supervise the rehabilitation efforts of support staff, ensuring that all patient interactions are conducted with the highest standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will encompass a broad range of clients with varying physical therapy needs. You will primarily focus on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain, and other conditions requiring rehabilitative support. Your empathy and personalized care will significantly impact their road to recovery and help them achieve functional independence.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:

• A Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure in California as a Physical Therapist.
• A minimum of three years of experience in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• A demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care with a clean professional record.
• Expertise in manual therapy techniques and exercise development.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in working within community health settings or those who have specialized in post-operative orthopedic recovery will find themselves well-suited for our clinic. Firepower Rehab & Therapy Clinic offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 110,000 annually, complemented by a full benefits package that includes:
