Alpha’s model allows students to complete their academic work in two hours daily using AI‑powered, self‑directed applications. There are no teachers, lectures, or content‑driven classroom management. This structure enables you to focus on what genuinely shifts their path: facilitating high‑intensity workshops on topics like public speaking, focus, and feedback; driving students toward full goal achievement using live data; and developing the Guides who support you on campus. A typical morning may begin with a one‑on‑one Guide coaching session, during which you review performance metrics and diagnose where a cohort is struggling. By midday, you’re running a structured workshop with students—executing a playbook exercise on feedback exchange. Your afternoons transition to motivational work: engaging individual students, identifying their intrinsic drivers, and leveraging Alpha’s incentive framework to reengage a reluctant middle schooler. You manage your own cohort directly, ensuring you remain practiced in the competencies you’re teaching others to build. You’ve likely been the outlier in educational environments: overly metric‑oriented, excessively outcome‑focused, too ready to question conventional wisdom about student development. Alpha may be the first setting where that profile is an asset. You will coach Guides immediately, and as your results scale, your authority over program integrity expands across the campus. What You Will Be Doing Facilitating one‑hour live workshops on life skills (public speaking, focus, giving and receiving feedback) for K‑8 cohorts, adhering to Alpha’s playbook instead of creating content independently. Conducting motivation sessions that leverage student analytics and Alpha’s incentive model (school currency, leaderboards) to achieve 100% goal completion among students. Developing Guides through coaching focused on program fidelity and standards enforcement, ensuring every session generates concrete action items for improvement. Managing your own student cohort concurrently with your responsibility for Guide development. Monitoring student satisfaction scores, goal completion rates, and Guide performance data on a weekly basis to identify underperformance early. What You Won’t Be Doing Lecturing or providing academic tutoring to students. Academic learning occurs via self‑guided applications without direct adult instruction. Creating curriculum or developing original lesson plans. The playbook is established; execution fidelity, not creativity, is the standard. Coaching Guides on pedagogical methods. Since Guides do not teach, your coaching targets motivation, energy, and accountability. Allowing flexibility when a student achieves 99% rather than 100%. Maintaining the standard demonstrates your confidence in their capability. Serving as the campus empathy anchor. Students receive connection alongside honest feedback and meaningful consequences. Head Coach Key Responsibilities Fulfill Alpha’s three commitments to every student in your cohort: they love school, learn twice as fast as a traditional classroom, and develop real‑life skills. Basic Requirements Willing to work on‑campus in Atlanta, GA; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Austin, TX; Keller (Fort Worth), TX; The Woodlands (Houston), TX (relocation support provided). Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, youth leadership, or a comparable field. Track record of leading a team of 5 or more adults, including hiring and making performance‑based termination decisions. Direct experience working with kids aged 5‑14 in an educational or developmental setting. Built, launched, or significantly grew a program, team, business, school, or initiative from the ground up. Proven use of data and metrics to set weekly goals and drive decisions, not just report results. Legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada. Nice‑to‑have Requirements Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or a related field. Experience coaching athletics, leading wilderness or experiential programs, directing camps, or managing youth ministry at a scale requiring cohort management and outcome measurement. Transitioned out of classroom teaching to build or manage programs in another capacity: EdTech, tutoring enterprises, youth nonprofits, or school intervention initiatives. Early‑career record of exceptional individual performance—academic, athletic, or professional—prior to entering leadership roles. Conviction that the current education system is fundamentally flawed and personal commitment to its redesign. Working with us This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
