Job DescriptionJob Description Warehouse Lead | 3:30pm Start Time | $25.50/hour | M-FThe Warehouse Lead is responsible for leading and controlling activities of branch warehouse personnel assigned to the Shipping Department. Ensures order selection and related shipping functions are performed in an effective manner. Monitors work processes and environmental conditions to ensure the safety of all employees.Responsibilities:Assist team members in the timely and accurate assembly of customer orders, in preparation for shipmentProvide a professional environment with relation to fellow team members, other department members and external customers.Direct the necessary daily activities to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.Organize and focus on improved productivity levels in a manner that stresses effectiveness by improving processes as well as the efficiencies of department team members.Ensure company policies are communicated, applied and enforced (i.E. operational, safety, administrative, etc.)Maximize quality and productivity by understanding the expectations of the company and assisting the Warehouse Manager in evaluating performance variances in order to identify root cause and corrective action.Requirements:High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree preferred1-3 years experience in warehousing required; previous supervisory experience preferredMust be able to lift heavy objects (occasionally between 60-75 lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation for an entire shift)Must be able to work regularly at a height of up to 26 feet above the ground (with provided safety equipment/processes/training)Must be a self starter with the ability to multi taskPossess excellent judgment and decision making skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsProficient using the AS400Possess strong PC skills in Word and ExcelCapacity to effectively plan workload and staff assignments Get Paid When You Need It!Access to a portion of your earned wages before paydayConvenient pay card option - no bank account requiredTake control of your finances with flexible pay accessThe perks of being a Bunzl team member don’t stop at being part of a great team or being valued as our #1 asset.
