Escrow SpecialistThe Escrow Specialist helps protect members, the credit union, and loan portfolios by ensuring tax and insurance obligations are accurate, timely, and compliant. This role reduces risk, resolves complex escrow issues, and creates a smoother servicing experience for borrowers and internal partners.What You'll DoEnsure escrow tax and insurance records are accurately established and maintained in the servicing system.Resolve tax, insurance, flood, and force-placed coverage issues by partnering with vendors, agents, taxing authorities, and internal teams.Disburse escrow-related tax and insurance payments on time to help prevent delinquencies, coverage gaps, and member impact.Analyze escrow accounts and process surplus notifications and disbursements in accordance with servicing requirements.Verify vendor data, billing reports, payees, and documentation to support accurate escrow administration.Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for internal and external escrow inquiries, providing research-based resolutions.Support regulatory and BSA-related compliance by following required policies, procedures, training expectations, and red-flag awareness.Why You'll Love This RoleBe the go-to escrow resource for tax and insurance questions that directly affect members and loan servicing outcomes.Work across vendors, agencies, and internal partners to solve meaningful, time-sensitive problems.Build specialized expertise in escrow servicing, insurance, taxes, flood requirements, and compliance expectations.Make a visible impact by helping prevent delinquencies, coverage issues, and unnecessary member disruption.Stay engaged through a mix of research, account analysis, vendor coordination, system updates, and project support.Experience:Required: Two (2) years of experience in mortgage loan servicingPreferred: Two (2) years of experience with escrow accounts with experience on automated billing and payment of taxes and insuranceSkills & Knowledge:Required: General knowledge of all areas of mortgage lending policies, guidelines, terminology, and procedures; Calculator and general office equipment skills; Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; Superior customer service skills, ability to communicate complicated escrow issues to internal and external customers; Ability to prioritize to meet daily deadlines; Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesPreferred: Ability to type 40 wpmEducation:Required: High school diploma or equivalentSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:30 pmCompensation Details:Paygrade: 1CAThe expected pay range for this position is $23.77 to $25.73 per hour.Credit Human is committed to equitable and transparent compensation practices.
