Job Overview The Medical Assistant (MA) position will be based in the Social Impact department. The position will be community-facing, which includes attending community events and performing Health Screenings on community members. Position will track outcomes and refer appropriately. The position will also assist in other Social Impact departments, such as our Food Farmacy Program. (Weekends required) Complete health screenings at events (Blood Pressure BMI, Cholesterol, Blood draws) Collect and maintain accurate data on outreach activities, participant feedback, and community needs. (Data to include attendance, health outcomes) Maintain an up-to-date inventory of RWJBarnabas Health services, local health and social services resources to provide referrals and support navigation efforts Assist all Social Impact initiatives at JCMC including our Food Farmacy Program (Assists individuals who are food insecure with health needs) Food Farmacy Duties to include: Food Distribution, food receiving/stocking, department and data intakes, interacting with patients, health screenings on patients Perform all clerical function in compliance with departmental rules and regulation Complies with unit and department scheduling and documentation guidelines as well as policies and procedures Promote a positive and healthy workplace environment.
