Position Overview The Director of FP&A for the South Central Division reports directly to the Vice President of Finance and serves as a strategic business partner to leadership across the consolidated Business Units. This role leads the end-to-end FP&A organization - budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and analytics - in close alignment with the AMAT Center, AMAT FP&A, Centers of Excellence, and Shared Services. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Performance Management Reports to the Division VP of Finance and serves as a strategic business partner to Division leadership overseeing the consolidated Business Units within the Division. Act as an advisor on financial, commercial, and strategic decisions, providing independent perspectives and insights to inform and influence business direction at the division level. Drive Financial Planning (budgets, forecasts, analytics) to meet and report on KPIs and SLAs for the Division by ensuring consistent, effective process execution. Promptly address discrepancies through thorough review of activities and reports to maintain operational excellence. Influence commercial and operational decisions by providing data-driven insights to improve revenue, margins, and cost structures. Translate financial insights into actionable business strategies that enable long-term growth and profitability. Provide strategic insights on capital allocation and investments aligned to growth priorities. Lead support for strategic planning and guide long-term investment decisions to drive sustainable business growth. Develop managerial reporting, analytics, and related presentations for the Division and Americas Materials leadership teams, ensuring accurate, timely, and decision-ready information. Oversee the resolution of complex or escalated FP&A-related inquiries, ensuring timely and effective solutions while maintaining operational continuity and high stakeholder satisfaction. Support the Division VP of Finance on strategic initiatives and organizational change within the Division, ensuring finance plays a proactive role in enabling transformation and business evolution. Champion digital and data-analytics capabilities within Division FP&A, leveraging emerging technologies to improve efficiency of planning and reporting processes and enhance the quality of insight delivered to the business. Ensure adherence to internal controls, CRH policies and procedures, and good practices for reporting, compliance, and financial planning and analysis activities. Team Management Lead and manage the Division FP&A organization to ensure end-to-end FP&A performance, driving aligned, efficient, and effective operations across all core FP&A processes. Contribute to talent management strategy and workforce planning while building and maintaining a strong, collaborative team that delivers results; develop and mentor finance professionals through coaching and Individual Development Plans, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and promoting CRH-wide career opportunities. Collaborate with the Division Vice President of Finance and other Division and Business Unit leadership to foster a strong, aligned, and continuously improving Finance function. Oversee the FP&A service delivery model, fostering continuous improvement and staying informed on best practices and emerging technologies to ensure alignment with AMAT Center, AMAT FP&A, CoEs, and Shared Services. Qualifications Education / Experience Bachelor's degree required; Accounting or Finance concentration preferred. Master's/graduate degree, CPA, or CMA a plus. 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including 5+ years in FP&A or operational finance roles of increasing responsibility. Experience in a public company and/or large, matrixed multinational organization strongly preferred. Experience in building materials, industrial, process manufacturing, or similar asset-intensive operational environments strongly preferred. Knowledge / Skill Requirements A commercial business partner who can support strategy, drive the performance of the business, and bring a strong mindset around performance, cash, and cost. Deep expertise in FP&A processes: annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, variance analysis, and management reporting. Experience supporting P&L owners (business unit, region, or division level) within complex businesses; strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow drivers. Working knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements. Strong systems and analytics orientation: advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required; experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and enterprise performance management (EPM) tools (e.g., Hyperion or similar); ERP implementation experience highly preferred; comfort adopting emerging technologies and automation. Excellent communication and executive presence - able to synthesize large volumes of complex financial information and distill it into clear, concise, easy-to-follow narratives and presentations for senior leadership. Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority across a matrixed organization - driving initiatives through stakeholders and teams outside of direct reporting lines - while managing competing priorities and operating effectively in a shared services / center-of-excellence delivery model. Ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team; prior people-management experience required. Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven, and commercial environment. Experience supporting M&A activity (due diligence, integration) a plus.
