Together with CCI, Frederick's is positioned for long-term growth, stability, and continued excellence.Position SummaryThe Welder - Fitter is responsible for fabricating, fitting, and welding metal components and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role supports safe, efficient, and high?quality production within Frederick's Manufacturing LLC's fabrication operations.Key ResponsibilitiesReport to the supervisor at the start of each shift to receive work assignmentsInterpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and verbal instructions to produce metal components and assembliesFit, position, clamp, and weld metal parts using approved welding processesPerform related fabrication tasks including thermal cutting, grinding, and repair workRepair broken or cracked components, fill holes, and modify or resize metal parts as requiredOperate welding and fabrication equipment safely and in accordance with company proceduresSuccessfully pass required welding tests and maintain applicable certificationsUse measuring instruments and hand tools to ensure dimensional accuracy and qualityFollow all company safety, quality, and housekeeping policies and proceduresAccurately document time worked to the appropriate job numbers and minimize non?billable indirect timeMaintain clean, organized, and inspection?ready work areas at all timesReturn tools and equipment to designated locations after useImmediately report safety concerns, quality issues, or production problems to the supervisorAdhere to company break and lunch policies and designated areasRefrain from personal projects during work hours unless expressly approved by a supervisorPerform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs, emergencies, or customer requirementsQualifications and ExperienceRequired:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of three (3) years of experience as a Welder/Fitter or equivalent experience in a heavy fabrication or industrial environmentPreferred:Ability to read, interpret, and work from fabrication drawings, blueprints, and verbal instructionsWorking knowledge of welding processes (including arc welding, gas welding, and brazing)Competent use of measuring tools, hand tools, and fabrication equipmentAbility to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writingStrong attention to detail and quality workmanshipAbility to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlinesDemonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and housekeeping standardsPhysical and Work Environment RequirementsAbility to work in both office and manufacturing environmentsAbility to walk production areas and engage with shop operationsExposure to typical manufacturing conditions including noise and varying temperaturesHealth, Safety and QualityBenefitsFrederick's Manufacturing LLC offers an industry competitive benefits package and pays 100 percent of Medical and Dental premiums for employees.401(k)401(k) matchingHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insurancePaid time offPaid holidaysSick timeLong-term disabilityOpportunities for advancement within the CCI Group of Companies
