Job Opportunity: Water Utility Technician (Posting# 811014-2936) The Water Utility Technician performs skilled work in the maintenance, repair, and reading of water meters. Additional responsibilities include maintenance and repair of water and sewer lines and other related tasks as needed. Requirements Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or GED. Experience in the maintenance, repair and/or construction of water lines is helpful but not required. Prefer applicant with basic knowledge of computers and willingness to learn meter reading software and hardware operation. Valid driver’s license in the State of North Carolina. Prefer applicants with Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain within 12 months. Compensation The hiring range for this position is $37,164 - $41,561.
