Patient Services RepresentativeThis position serves as a resident expert in their area of support by providing an environment of good will and optimum services to patients and clients. This role is on-site (100%) in Sacramento, CA (95811).Essential FunctionsPromptly and courteously provides the information and services requested by patient.Takes initiative to seek assistance from others; informs patient/clients of the need to do so; explains who is being called upon to help; and ensures that all patient/clients requests are addressed in a way which minimizes inconveniences of all parties.Maintain strict patient/clients confidentiality at all times.Verify and update patient demographic information and insurance information.Communicate appointment delays effectively with patients and providers; apprise patients of wait times, delays, etc.Verify patient insurance eligibility and co-payment. (HMO's, PPO's, Managed Care)Create daily batch and collect co-pay, provide receipt, and obtain credit/debit card authorization as needed.Explain terms and conditions of services and financial responsibilityAnswers phones as needed.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required3 years previous medical secretarial/office experience required.Active CPR, BLS Certification.PreferredAA degreeAbility to collaborate effectively across a broad spectrum of backgrounds and perspectives.
