Director, Global Indirect Procurement

Job Summary This position is based on‑site and requires four days per week in the Brea office to support collaboration and business needs. The Director, Global Indirect Procurement leads the development and execution of global category strategies to deliver sustainable cost savings, mitigate third‑party risk, and enable compliant, scalable buying across the enterprise. The role partners closely with senior functional leaders and OpCo stakeholders to shape demand, unlock cross‑region synergies, and standardize sourcing approaches in support of business objectives. As the Director, you will be accountable for category strategy, strategic sourcing execution, supplier performance, procurement systems enablement, and compliance, driving measurable financial and operational outcomes across assigned indirect spend categories. Key Responsibilities Category Strategy & Value Delivery Develop and execute multi‑year global category strategies and sourcing roadmaps that deliver measurable cost savings, risk reduction, and service‑level improvement across assigned indirect spend categories. Identify and capture cross‑OpCo and cross‑region synergies while balancing local business needs and operational requirements. Translate enterprise and functional priorities into actionable category plans and sourcing initiatives. Monitor market trends, supplier landscapes, and pricing benchmarks to inform category strategies and sourcing decisions. Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation Leadership Lead end‑to‑end strategic sourcing initiatives, including spend analysis, market assessment, supplier qualification, RFx execution, evaluation, and award recommendations. Serve as the senior negotiation lead for assigned categories, leveraging market intelligence, supplier insights, should‑cost analysis, and value‑creation levers to optimize total cost of ownership. Ensure sourcing decisions align with approved budgets, category strategies, and procurement policies. Business Partnership & Demand Management Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and functional leaders; influence demand, challenge specifications, and promote early procurement engagement. Drive adoption of category strategies through stakeholder engagement, communication, and change management. Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to align sourcing activities with financial plans, budgets, and priorities. Support OpCo onboarding to category strategies, preferred suppliers, and procurement tools to drive adoption and compliance. Contracting & Risk Management Negotiate and approve global and regional agreements with strong commercial terms, pricing, payment terms, service levels, flexibility, data protection, risk allocation, and termination rights. Embed third‑party risk considerations within category sourcing and contracting activities in alignment with enterprise standards and policies. Supplier Performance & Governance Establish and maintain supplier performance management frameworks, including KPIs, SLAs, and performance reviews. Serve as the primary escalation point for supplier performance, commercial, and risk‑related issues. Drive continuous improvement with key suppliers to enhance value, performance, and service delivery. Standardize through preferred suppliers, master agreements, and compliant buying channels to reduce maverick spend and supplier fragmentation. Standardization, Compliance & Controls Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, controls, and regulatory requirements. Support audits and reviews related to sourcing, contracting, and supplier management. Procurement Systems & Enablement Lead business initiatives for procurement systems supporting indirect categories, partnering with IT and Finance to ensure system capabilities align with category strategies. Contribute to prioritization of system enhancements for sourcing efficiency, contract compliance, supplier performance, and reporting. Drive adoption of procurement systems and standard workflows through training and change management. Leverage data to improve spend analytics, transparency, and reporting of savings and value. Process Improvement & Digitization (EBS) Lead continuous improvement initiatives across indirect procurement using EBS, Lean, and Kaizen to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability. Identify waste, reduce cycle times, and standardize processes through data‑driven analysis. Apply EBS tools such as standard work, visual management, root cause analysis, and PDCA. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Support procurement digitization through data standards and reporting practices. Savings, Value Tracking & Reporting Track, validate, and report cost savings, cost avoidance, and value delivery with Finance. Ensure savings methodologies align with financial standards and governance. Supplier Diversity & Responsible Sourcing Support supplier diversity, sustainability, and responsible sourcing objectives in alignment with enterprise programs. Leadership & Enterprise Contribution Mentor and develop category management talent. Contribute to broader procurement transformation initiatives and enterprise priorities. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or a related field (preferred). 7+ years of progressive experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management at a global or enterprise scale. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, scenario analysis). Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 5–10%). Ability to work onsite during core business hours at least four days per week. Preferred: Proven experience leading global negotiations and enterprise initiatives, including OpCo onboarding and supplier transitions. Strong command of strategic sourcing methodologies and category strategy development. Experience applying Lean, Kaizen, or continuous improvement methodologies in procurement or supply‑chain settings. Familiarity with EBS or similar business system frameworks. Demonstrated ability to embed a continuous improvement mindset within teams. Executive‑level communication skills; ability to present insights, trade‑offs, and recommendations clearly. Ability to influence senior stakeholders across functions and geographies. Collaborative leadership style with a bias for action and results. Highly organized, adaptable, and effective in managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Compensation Salary Range: $180,800 - $220,900. Total compensation may also include performance bonuses, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401(k) match, and other applicable plans.
