Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The ER RN is responsible for providing high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced acute care hospital. This role involves working 3-night shifts per week, with no on-call obligations, requiring flexibility to float between units and campuses as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement patient care in the emergency room setting, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient treatment and prioritize urgent needs.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in Epic electronic health records.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established guidelines.
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations, providing critical interventions and support during life-threatening incidents.
• Maintain compliance with all clinical and safety standards, including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHS certifications.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid South Carolina or Compact RN license prior to start date.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic electronic health record system.
• Maintain current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHS.
• Be willing to work 3x12 night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
