This role will be part of the most rapidly growing segment within Fluor, one that spearheads transformative projects in advanced technologies.The Commercial Strategies Lead provides leadership in developing and executing supply chain commercial strategies that influence capital cost, execution risk, schedule certainty, and overall business outcomes for Advanced Manufacturing and High‑Technology projects and pursuits.This role supports large, capital‑intensive facilities such as semiconductor, battery, advanced materials, and highly automated manufacturing plants, and partners closely with project leadership, global category management, and centralized procurement teams to drive optimal sourcing and contracting outcomes.Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of supply chain commercial strategies for advanced manufacturing and high‑technology capital projects.Serve as a trusted commercial advisor to project, proposal, and functional leadership.Provide commercial strategy leadership for projects involving specialty process equipment, packaged manufacturing systems, automation‑heavy equipment, clean utilities, bulk commodities, and balance‑of‑plant scope.Analyze commodity, industry, and supplier market trends and translate insights into actionable strategies.Partner with Global Category Managers to define sourcing and bidder list strategies for critical equipment and materials.Provide oversight of estimating assumptions, benchmarks, and market intelligence to support capital cost development.Collaborate closely with a centralized, globally distributed sourcing team across time zones.Apply Fluor commercial risk management frameworks and advise on lump sum and reimbursable execution strategies.Define negotiation, purchase order, and risk mitigation strategies aligned with prime contract requirements.Mentor and guide Commercial Strategies Specialists and support knowledge transfer across the SCCS organization.Present commercial strategies and recommendations to senior leadership and clients as requiredMay need to travel to attend to business related mattersOther duties as assignedBasic Job RequirementsAccredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years’ of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years’ if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirementsAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitorsJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the jobAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelinesAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective mannerOther Job RequirementsPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field10+ years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain, commercial strategy, procurement, or project delivery rolesExperience supporting Advanced Manufacturing or High‑Technology capital projects, such as semiconductors, battery, energy storage, advanced materials facilities, highly automated industrial manufacturing, or data centers or technology‑driven infrastructure (with heavy EPC scope)Strong understanding of supply chain commercial strategies, market intelligence, and risk management.Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.Proficiency in Excel spread sheetsWe are an equal opportunity employer.
