Payroll Manager

Payroll Manager New York City, NY (Hybrid) Position Overview A growing real estate organization is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee and execute multi-state payroll operations for a diverse employee population. This role will be responsible for ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, reporting, and process improvements while partnering closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll processing for salaried, hourly, and bonus-eligible employees. Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain payroll records, earnings, deductions, tax filings, and employee data within the payroll system. Partner with HR and Finance on employee changes, audits, reconciliations, and payroll reporting. Manage payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Support year-end activities including W-2 processing, audits, and compliance reporting. Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and system functionality. Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll vendors and external partners. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 5+ years of payroll experience, including experience managing payroll operations. Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax requirements, and payroll best practices. Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, UKG, Workday, Paycom, or similar platforms. Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience within real estate, property management, construction, or related industries is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
