Patient Service RepresentativeStep into a role that puts patients first. Virginia Oral & Facial Surgery is looking for a motivated Patient Service Representative to join our team. We're looking for a self-starter interested in working in a fast-past and dynamic oral surgery environment to help promote exceptional patient service. This role is responsible for creating a positive patient experience and building a positive work environment. Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish is required.What You'll Do:Confirm and update patient identification, demographic, and insurance information.Prepare patient charts and documentation for upcoming appointments.Perform all check-in and check-out functions, including collecting necessary information and payments.Obtain patient consents/authorizations and process insurance pre-authorizations and referrals.Answer incoming calls promptly, document messages, and route inquiries to appropriate personnel.Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments as needed.Maintain accurate and organized medical records.Support overall front-office operations and assist with other duties as assigned.What You'll Need:Two (2) years of customer service experience, required.Proficient in Spanish.Experience with oral surgery or in a medical or dental practice, preferred.Knowledge of insurance processes, preferred.Ability to multitask.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.What It Takes:Ability to lift 25 pounds.Prolonged periods of sitting.How We'll Take Care of You:Medical, dental, vision with employer contributionLife InsuranceSupplemental BenefitsFlex-spending AccountsDependent Care AccountsPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysTraining Programs401K Retirement, with employer contributionEmployee Discounts
