About the Position

Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Holding Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Central Ohio

Schedule: Day shift, 36 hours per week. 4:1 patient ratio. Care for all age groups including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

• 32-bed unit with diverse patient diagnoses and acuity levels

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• ER experience required; ER Holding, Medical-Surgical, and/or Telemetry experience strongly preferred
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Experience with patient ratio of 3:1 or similar
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Clinical Skills:

• Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Ventilated patient care, arterial line management, and central line care
• Blood product administration and IV insulin protocols
• Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips (titration experience valued)
• High flow nasal cannula (HFNC), BiPAP/CPAP management
• Care for patients with CVA, traumatic brain injury, seizure disorders, and spinal cord injuries
• Port access, PICC line management, and peripheral line care
• Chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and wound care/wound vac

• Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed immediately upon contract signing
• Candidates within driving distance of Ohio must travel to an in-state fingerprinting location as soon as possible after booking
• Out-of-state candidates will receive a fingerprinting packet to be completed urgently upon receipt
• Unresponsive or uncooperative candidates risk assignment push or cancellation
• Pre-approved time off must be requested at time of submission and built into contract
• Former employees eligible after 6 months away from facility; current employees ineligible

Parking Information:

Multiple parking options available with monthly and annual permit structures. Monthly rates start at approximately $224.80. Annual permits offer additional lot access with shuttle services. Prorated refunds available for unused future months on annual permits.
