Commissioning Specialist (Mechanical) Position Overview

Seeking a Commissioning Specialist to support mechanical systems through startup, testing, commissioning, and turnover. This role works closely with project teams, technicians, and clients to ensure systems meet performance and project requirements.

• Perform startup, testing, inspections, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Complete commissioning documentation, checklists, and deficiency tracking.
• Coordinate with project teams to meet schedules and project milestones.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and commissioning plans.
• Witness equipment testing and verify system performance.
• Attend project meetings and provide status updates.
• Identify issues and support corrective actions.
• Maintain strong client and stakeholder communication.

• Experience with mechanical construction, HVAC, or commissioning projects.
• Understanding of commissioning processes, documentation, and turnover procedures.
• Knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building systems.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• BAS/Controls experience.
• Data center, mission-critical, healthcare, industrial, or manufacturing project experience.
• TAB experience.
• Ability to interpret controls diagrams and sequences of operation.
• Experience working with owners, facility teams, or end users.
• Knowledge of MEP coordination and commissioning best practices.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Haskell, TX.

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $49.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
