Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing and employee reimbursements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on Workday and PeopleSoft experience, preferably in a high-volume healthcare environment, and the ability to process payroll accurately while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle payroll processing accurately and on time.
- Process employee reimbursements, payroll adjustments, and related transactions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Process payroll for multiple shifts and job classifications.
- Use automated time and attendance systems to verify employee hours.
- Maintain payroll records and support accurate W-2 reporting.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.
- Collaborate with HR staff, department managers, and employees on payroll-related matters.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of employee payroll information.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of employee payroll processing and reimbursement experience.
- Hands-on Workday experience.
- PeopleSoft experience in a high-volume healthcare environment.
- Experience managing end-to-end payroll processing in an in-house payroll environment without outsourcing to a third party.
- Experience processing payroll for multiple shifts and job types.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and W-2 reporting requirements.
- Experience with automated time and attendance systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- UKG payroll experience.
- API experience related to time and attendance or payroll systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
