Location: Brea, CA
Employment Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time
Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 annually

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join a fast-paced manufacturing organization in Brea, CA. The HRBP will partner closely with operations leaders, supervisors, and employees while providing hands-on HR support across employee relations, payroll, performance management, compliance, workforce planning, recruiting, and employee engagement .

This position supports both hourly manufacturing and salaried employees and requires someone who is comfortable being visible and accessible on the production floor.

Manufacturing HR experience and hands-on payroll experience are required. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with operations leaders and supervisors on employee relations, performance management, staffing, and workforce needs.
• Coach managers on attendance, performance concerns, corrective actions, conflict resolution, and employee issues.
• Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
• Maintain a visible and approachable HR presence on the manufacturing floor.
• Assist with payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees, including reviewing timecards, hours worked, overtime, PTO, deductions, and payroll changes.
• Partner with Payroll and managers to research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questions.
• Help ensure accurate timekeeping and compliance with California wage-and-hour requirements.
• Support new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and other employee transactions impacting payroll.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, workforce planning, retention, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Provide guidance regarding California employment law , leaves of absence, accommodations, wage-and-hour requirements, and company policies.
• Support performance reviews, employee development, and organizational initiatives.
• Partner cross-functionally with Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Safety/EHS, Finance, and Operations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in an HRBP, HR Generalist, or similar role.
• Manufacturing HR experience required.
• Hands-on payroll experience required , including timekeeping, payroll review, employee changes, and resolving payroll discrepancies.
• Experience supporting both hourly production and salaried employees .
• Strong employee relations background, including investigations, performance management, coaching, and corrective actions.
• Strong understanding of California wage-and-hour and employment laws .
• Experience working with HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems.
• Strong communication, judgment, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification is a plus.
• Aerospace, defense, composites, or other regulated manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
