Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Stroke Stepdown
Weekly Pay Package (36 Hours/Week)

• Gross Weekly Pay: $2,434
• Taxable Weekly Pay: $1,188
• Non-Taxable Weekly Stipend: $1,246

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Stroke Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment. This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong Med-Surg and Stroke Stepdown experience who are passionate about delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Schedule

• Block scheduling is not guaranteed
• Floating to other appropriate units is required
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical Stroke Stepdown Unit.
• Assess, monitor, and care for patients with acute neurological and medical conditions.
• Manage patients with diagnoses including:
  
  • Stroke
  • Altered Mental Status
  • Renal Disorders
  • Dialysis
  • COPD
  • Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
  • Isolation Precautions
  • General Medical Conditions
• Perform ongoing neurological assessments and promptly recognize changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR .

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience with Stroke Stepdown experience .
• Previous travel nursing experience is required.
• Active New York RN License .
• Verification of all active RN licenses through NURSYS .
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (may be obtained prior to the start date).
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
• Updated resume documenting Med-Surg, Stroke Stepdown, and travel experience.
• Specialty Skills Checklist required.
• Valid driver's license with an address matching submitted demographics.
• All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application.

Traveler Requirements

• 75-mile radius rule applies.
• Local candidates are welcome to apply; however, a local pay rate applies to candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility .
