Case Mix: Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology

EMR System: Epic

Specialty Backup Available: Surgery/Anesthesia team

Reason for Coverage: Urgent Need Emergency Coverage

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Licenses: Active NY License

Board: Must be Board Certified

Certifications: Active BLS, AHA or RQI

Experience: APP experience in pre-operative/pre-anesthesia setting

Other Qualifications: Epic Experience Required

Duties & Responsibilities:

Conduct pre-operative evaluation and optimization for upcoming surgical patients
Review H&P and relevant patient information to assess surgical readiness
Utilize optimization protocols and resources within the facility's existing system
Identify and make appropriate referrals as needed for patient optimization
Work closely with the Surgery and Anesthesia team to coordinate care
