Facilities Manager – Overview A large health care facility in Palo Alto is looking for a Facilities Manager to join their Facilities Management department, responsible for facilities totaling over two million square feet in the portfolio. What you will do Assist the Regional and Facilities Manager in the execution of operational duties requiring extensive field work related to vendor meetings, site inspections and project follow‑up and close‑out. Assist with the management, coordination and integration of site/zone services (parking, security, cleaning, landscaping, building system & equipment maintenance services, fire life safety, emergency response). Participate with FM on regular site inspections for condition, safety and aesthetics, document and manage corrective actions generated from the site visit. Directly coordinate and/or direct contractors to execute moves, additions and changes; attend meetings to execute details. Fulfill requests by working and meeting with vendors as needed. Assist with improving cost efficiencies, managing purchased services, reviewing PO balances, and preparing budget and variance reports. Assist in the creation of new site activation materials. Aide in project execution through meetings and coordinating vendors. For decommissioned sites, coordinate services to close out. Pay Range $55,000 – $60,000 a year. Skills and Requirements 2–3 years of experience in facilities project management. Bachelor's Degree required. Experience building PowerPoint presentations and presenting to stakeholders. Experience working with multiple vendors for electrical or mechanical issues. Experience in construction, labs, biomedical or commercial environments.
