The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Caledonia seeking CNC Lathe Programmers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop CNC programs for Lathe machines using CAD/CAM software.
- Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining processes.
- Select appropriate tools, cutting speeds, and feed rates for optimal performance.
- Perform test runs and make adjustments to programs to ensure part quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot and improve manufacturing processes.
- Maintain and update a library of CNC programs and related documentation.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for programming and machining operations.
Recommended Qualifications
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with CAD/CAM software beyond basic part modeling, such as SolidWorks CAM or Fusion 360.
- Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience with different control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Mazak).
- Knowledge of G-code and M-code editing and optimization at the machine.
