Technical Support Engineer

Salary: $124,800 - 187,200 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for strong hands-on experience supporting users in financial services, trading, investment management, hedge funds, banking, or a similarly high-performance environment.
• We strongly prefer hands-on Bloomberg Terminal support experience.
• We need solid working knowledge of PowerShell, including practical scripting and administration.
• We require experience with Microsoft 365, Outlook, Exchange, Active Directory/Azure AD, and Intune.
• We expect strong Windows desktop and hardware troubleshooting skills.
• We want someone who can troubleshoot beyond surface-level symptoms and understand how the underlying technologies function.
• We value excellent urgency and the ability to work in an environment where users expect immediate support.
• We are looking for polished communication skills and a white-glove, service-oriented approach.
• We need someone comfortable working independently and owning technical issues from intake through resolution.

• We provide high-touch, first-line technical support to traders, investment professionals, executives, and corporate users.
• We troubleshoot Bloomberg Terminal installation, configuration, file structure, application issues, and related desktop support.
• We support Microsoft 365, including Outlook, mailbox configuration, mailbox storage issues, and general application troubleshooting.
• We use PowerShell and scripting to troubleshoot and automate common support and administration tasks.
• We support Active Directory/Azure AD, including static and dynamic groups, user access, and account administration.
• We work with Microsoft Intune for endpoint and device management.
• We troubleshoot Windows 10/11 desktops, laptops, peripherals, mobile devices, and other end-user hardware.
• We monitor and manage incoming requests across phone, email, chat, and ticketing queues.
• We proactively identify and resolve outstanding technical issues during quieter periods.
• We deliver fast, polished, white-glove support where responsiveness and attention to detail are critical.
• We partner with technology teams across the U.S., EMEA, and APAC as part of a global support model.

We are partnering with one of the worlds most prestigious and sophisticated financial institutions to hire a Technical Support Engineer for our New York technology team. We operate at the intersection of finance and cutting-edge technology, supporting highly complex and fast-moving global trading environments. Our organization is known for an exceptionally high bar for talent, technology, and performance, and this role offers the chance to work where technology is truly business-critical. This is a full-time, 100% onsite position in Midtown Manhattan, built to strengthen weekend technology coverage. The schedule is four 10-hour shifts on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, with Wednesday through Friday off. Weekend shifts are generally lighter than weekday shifts, and the role includes an approximately three-month ramp-up period before taking on independent weekend coverage. Weekend coverage can also be swapped with teammates when needed, offering some flexibility for occasional personal commitments.
