Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Schedule
- Weekends: Work every other weekend; weekend coverage required
- Holidays: Must be willing to work holidays as needed; commitment to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NYE, New Year's Day) required
- Schedule posted every ~6 weeks

Requirements
- Minimum: 3 years RN experience (candidates with less than 3 years will not be considered)
- Preferred: 5+ years of high-risk OB experience; candidates with 3+ years will be considered if high-risk experience is documented
- At least 2 years in a high-acuity, high-pace environment required
- Current supervisory references and 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
- Certifications: BLS, NRP required; ACLS and AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced preferred
- Compact license must be in hand at submission (active compact accepted)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Function as a Baby Nurse during delivery and provide ongoing newborn care until transfer to postpartum
- Circulate for C-sections required
- Manage common patient diagnoses including high-risk antepartum, postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy-induced hypertension, and multiple births
- Provide interdisciplinary support in collaboration with Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, and Rapid Response
- Perform electronic fetal heart rate interpretation and manage medications such as magnesium sulfate, insulin/heparin drips
- Familiarity with neonatal resuscitation, pitocin, epidural/anesthesia recovery, and cord blood collection

Compliance / Notes
- Must pass clinical review (proof of required documentation is needed)
- Background checks and compliance with all clinical credential requirements are necessary
- Only one facility submission at a time is allowed
- Pre-approved time off is assessed on a case-by-case basis
