PositionSummary TheElectricalServiceManagerisresponsibleforleadingthedailyoperationsoftheelectricalservicedepartment.Thisincludesmanagingelectriciansandapprentices,overseeingschedulingandworkloadcoordination,coachingtechnicians,reviewingjobperformance,improvingcustomerexperience,monitoringdepartmentKPIs,andensuringallworkiscompletedsafely,efficiently,andtocompanystandards. ThisroleisbestsuitedforalicensedJourneymanorMasterElectricianwithstrongresidentialserviceexperienceandprovenleadershipability.TheServiceManagerwillworkcloselywithdispatch,customerservice,warehouse,leadership,andfieldteamstoensurethedepartmentrunssmoothlyandprofitably. KeyResponsibilities Leadandmanagethedailyoperationsoftheresidentialelectricalservicedepartment. Recruit,interview,hire,train,andmentorelectriciansandapprentices. Conductregularride-alongs,coachingsessions,fieldevaluations,andperformancereviews. Ensuretechniciansprovideexceptionalcustomerserviceandmaintainhigh-qualityworkmanship. Monitordepartmentperformance,includingrevenue,profitability,conversionrates,averageticket,callbackrate,warrantywork,customersatisfaction,andtechnicianproductivity. Scheduleandcoordinateworkloadstomaximizeefficiencyandmeetcustomerdemand. Ensurecompliancewithlocal,state,andnationalelectricalcodes,safetyrequirements,andcompanystandards. Addresscustomerconcernsandresolveescalatedserviceissuespromptlyandprofessionally. Collaboratewithdispatch,customerservice,warehouse,accounting,andleadershiptoensuresmoothdepartmentoperations. Developandimplementprocessesthatimproveproductivity,qualitycontrol,communication,andoperationalefficiency. Conductteammeetings,technicaltraining,salestraining,andongoingcoaching. Reviewjobquality,callbacks,warrantywork,andcustomerfeedbacktoidentifyimprovementopportunities. Preparereportsonkeyperformanceindicatorsandpresentdepartmentresultstoleadership. Helpcreateacultureofaccountability,professionalism,cleanworkmanship,andcustomer-firstservice. Supportpricing,jobdocumentation,materialmanagement,andserviceprocessimprovements. Ensurecompanypolicies,safetypractices,andservicestandardsarefollowedconsistently. RequiredQualifications ActiveJourneyman/ResidentialWiremanlicenseorMasterElectricianlicense. 5+yearsofresidential/commercialserviceelectricalexperience. Previousleadership,supervisory,ormanagementexperienceinanelectricalserviceenvironment. Strongunderstandingofresidentialelectricaltroubleshooting,panelwork,serviceupgrades,lighting,circuits,coderequirements,andcustomer-facingservicework. Abilitytocoachtechniciansontechnicalperformance,customercommunication,optionspresentation,andjobexecution. Strongcommunication,leadership,coaching,andproblem-solvingskills. ExperienceusingschedulingsoftwareandservicemanagementplatformssuchasServiceTitanorsimilarsystems. AbilitytoreadandinterpretdepartmentKPIsandtakeactionbasedonperformancedata. Validdriver’slicensewithanacceptabledrivingrecord. Professionalappearanceandcommunicationstyle. Abilitytoworkinafast-pacedserviceenvironmentandmakesounddecisionsunderpressure. PreferredQualifications ColoradoMasterElectricianlicense. Experiencemanagingaresidentialelectricalservicedepartment. ExperiencewithServiceTitan. Experiencebuildingtechniciantrainingprograms. Experiencemanagingrevenue,grossmargin,averageticket,conversionrate,customersatisfaction,andcallbackmetrics. Experiencewithmemberships,serviceagreements,financing,andcustomeroptions. Strongrecruitingandtechniciandevelopmentbackground. Experiencehelpingapprenticesgrowintolicensedelectricians. Compensation&PerformanceBonus Thispositionoffersacompetitivebasesalaryplusperformance-basedbonusopportunities. Targetcompensationmayinclude: Basesalaryof$65,000–$120,000,dependingonexperienceandqualifications. Monthlyorquarterlyperformancebonusesbasedondepartmentresults. Bonusopportunitiestiedtorevenuegrowth,grossmargin,customersatisfaction,callbackreduction,technicianproductivity,teamdevelopment,andoperationalperformance.
