Lab Technician

Agri-Mark/Cabot Creamery has a full-time opening for a Laboratory Technician. 10-hour shifts between hours of 4a-5p. Flexible work schedule required, including rotating weekends, and working scheduled holidays. Pay rate starts at $26.15/hour. Responsibilities include: Perform laboratory tests on milk, finished cheese and whey products, environmental samples, and ingredients in a timely and accurate manner to assure that Agri-Mark quality standards are met. Must become certified by the State of Vermont to perform all testing associated with the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (after training!) Input of all analytical data into various software, as well as running reports and creating charts/graphs. Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite are beneficial. Time management skills are a must. We are seeking an individual who possesses strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to effectively multi-task and meet project deadlines. Must have mature judgment abilities as well as the ability to mentor other Lab Technicians, work flexibility is a must, HS diploma or GED.
