Machine Operator Assistant

The Machine Operator Assistant works on a high-volume production line to ensure pasta shells are manufactured accurately and efficiently. In this role, you load bags of pasta into the machine, palletize boxed products, and complete documentation at designated workstations. You use computer systems to record production data and rely on strong attention to detail to keep equipment running smoothly and maintain product quality.

Responsibilities

• Support machine operation on the production line to ensure pasta shells are produced correctly and consistently.
• Load bags of pasta into production machines according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Load and organize pallets with boxed pasta products for storage or shipment.
• Work at designated tables or stations to document production activity and specific work performed.
• Use computer systems to enter, track, and verify production data and documentation.
• Monitor machines and production flow, promptly reporting any issues or irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with general labor tasks such as assembly, banding, and packaging of products as needed.
• Palletize finished goods and prepare them for movement or storage within the facility.
• Follow all food manufacturing, safety, and cleanliness standards to maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with production team members to meet daily output and quality targets.

Essential Skills

• Experience supporting machine operation in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work on a fast-paced production line with consistent attention to detail.
• Basic computer knowledge to document work and enter production data accurately.
• Capability to perform general labor tasks including loading, packaging, and palletizing.
• Understanding of basic safety practices in a manufacturing or production setting.
• Reliability and willingness to follow established processes and quality standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Prairie, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.35 - $20.35/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
