City/State: White Plains, New York Department: WPH Lab Phlebotomy Work Shift: Day Work Days: MON-FRI Scheduled Hours: 11 PM-7 AM Hours Per Pay Period: 75 Pay Rate/Range: $20.9258-$31.4129 Sign On Bonus: $0.00 Essential Functions Understand and adhere to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors. Demonstrate knowledge of department and hospital policies and procedures. Utilize AIDET and Patient Experience measures during patient interactions. Attend staff meetings and in-services. Complete competency requirements on an annual basis. Follow all infection control and prevention policies. Maintain a safe environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Obtain blood or other specimens using varied techniques on all age groups. Proficient in the use of the laboratory information system and hospital information system (where applicable). Maintain supplies in a neat and orderly manner. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude. Make appropriate decisions independently. Prioritize workload. Inform management of problems. Maintain confidentiality of patient data. Cross train in ATC, MLW, Phlebotomy/Accessioning. Perform EKGs in Presurgical testing location. Perform all other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High School or GED required. 1-3 years prior phlebotomy experience preferred; 4-6 years preferred for healthcare environment. Basic computer skills (low proficiency) preferred. Certified Phlebotomy Technician - American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians (ASPT) preferred. Certified Phlebotomy Technician - National Healthcareer Association (CPT) preferred.
