What you'll do Oversee and assist in the management of all daily operations, cultivating relationships with all guests and building relationships with all employees as the direct manager of the Restaurant and Bar team. Ensure standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis; assist with planning, organizing, directing operations and supervising staff. Assist in interviewing, hiring, training employees; plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance; address complaints and resolve problems during the day. This includes menu planning and costs, preparation and presentation of food and drinks, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Coordinate special events, resolve escalated issues arising from operations and coordinate with other departments to ensure guests receive nothing but the best experience. Manage month‑end financial requirements such as trial balance, accruals, check book maintenance and P&L variance critiques; attend all labor and revenue meetings. Lead and manage the team to fulfill special guest requests involving dietary restrictions, seating preferences and special occasions; respond efficiently and accurately to restaurant guest complaints. Follow through on all guest comments, complaints and other forms of communication; evaluate communication channels to create action plans and other required follow‑ups. Develop and implement viable marketing strategies and programs for increased sales of F & B in partnership with Sales and Marketing. Prevent and correct imperfections and blemishes that arise; report and work with other positions to correct them; exercise independent judgment with respect to matters involving both guest and team member matters. Communicate with other departments and the extended hotel team to ensure alignment; work hands‑on with culinary and stewarding teams while communicating requests and concerns to drive problem solving and resolution.
