A day in the life of a Restaurant General Manager demands high energy, consistency, and creativity to tackle daily adventures. The responsibilities below outline essential duties: Oversee all aspects of the restaurant experience, including guest service, team leadership, financial performance, operational excellence, and brand standards. Cultivate and maintain the desired guest atmosphere, engage the right clientele, foster relationships within the local community, and serve as a visible ambassador for the restaurant and the hotel. Drive networking initiatives, guest engagement, and partnerships that enhance the venue’s reputation and social experience. Lead, inspire, and develop front-of-house leadership and service teams. Foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, warmth, and accountability. Recruit, train, mentor, and retain exceptional hospitality talent. Oversee live music and entertainment programming to ensure performances align with the brand identity and guest expectations. Monitor guest engagement and feedback in real time to maintain a high-quality entertainment experience. Ensure consistency across touchpoints including service rituals, presentation, and ambiance. Maintain the highest standards of service and guest engagement. Collaborate with culinary leadership on menu execution and service flow. Manage reservations strategy, seating optimization, and guest pacing. Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, safety, and compliance. Drive revenue growth while maintaining profitability targets. Manage labor costs, scheduling, inventory, and operational expenses. Analyze financial reports, forecasting, and performance metrics. What you'll bring 5+ years of leadership experience in luxury hospitality or fine dining management. Proven success managing high-volume, high-touch restaurant operations. Previous restaurant opening experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of fine dining service standards and wine/beverage programs. Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor, and P&L performance. Ability to remain composed and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
