Travel EP Lab Tech Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Lab Tech for a 13‑week travel assignment in Davie, Florida. Required Qualifications One year’s recent experience as an EP Lab Tech Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification Current ACLS certification Preferred Qualifications Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance with state regulations PALS or ENPC certifications Other certifications and licenses as required Responsibilities Assist in electrophysiology studies, cardiac ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, and related procedures. Prepare patients for procedures, operate and troubleshoot EP lab equipment, monitor patient responses. Maintain a safe and efficient environment. Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for EP lab patients and accurately document findings. Educate patients and families on procedures, expectations, and post‑procedure care. Assist physicians with studies, ablations, and device implantations. Administer medications, including conscious sedation, per physician orders. Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and patient responses throughout procedures. Identify and respond to changes in patient condition and elevate care as needed. Maintain sterile technique and assist with equipment preparation, setup, and troubleshooting. Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement patient‑centered treatment plans. Provide immediate post‑procedure care and monitor for complications. Adhere to safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills. Physical & Cognitive Requirements Remain stationary, move about, and move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Work effectively with a variety of personnel, maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism. Perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move during procedures and equipment use. Coping with frequent contact with the public, meeting deadlines under pressure, and working independently or with minimal supervision.
