Experience in one of the following areas is desired: optics, electronics, controllers, vacuum systems, or interferometric simulations for gravitational-wave detectors. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in physics, engineering, or a related field. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility for renewal. The position involves both research and advising graduate students in the group. Qualified candidates should submit their curriculum vitae, a list of publications, a short description of their qualifications, and the e-mail addresses/phone numbers of three references to the online position posting. This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU , Local 200United. Qualifications Ph.D. in physics, engineering, or a related field.
