Dean of Operations Join a dedicated team that fosters autonomy and creativity while receiving a competitive salary opportunities for career and personal growth and the gratification that comes from creating positive multi generational change Ednovate Background Ednovate launched its first school in 2012 Since then weve grown to eight schools and are on a trajectory to reach 11 schools in just the next few years you can read more about our schools here Ednovate is committed to serving areas where students traditionally lack access to a quality college prep education by building tuition free safe high performing public schools driven to create positive multi generational change We are made up of world travelers nacho connoisseurs KPOP business owners and Beyonce fans We love LA and OC and were our students biggest cheerleaders Position Overview As a Dean of Operations at Ednovate you will be responsible for leading operational excellence at your school site to ensure that the school is safe efficient fully enrolled and financially healthy with resources readily available and aligned to educational priorities to enable the highest level of learning You will supervise the schools operations team and collaborate closely with other members of the leadership team school staff parents and the network support team This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong organizational systems attention to detail and communication skills looking to create positive multigenerational change in a collaborative results oriented environment This is a full time exempt role that reports to the Principal What You’ll Do Manage the school operations team Directly supervise an Operations Coordinator and Operations Assistant building their capacity to execute on all school operations tasks effectively and efficiently Model top notch customer service and Ednovates values so that staff students visitors and families have a high quality experience in every interaction Manage external vendors including but not limited to custodial and nutrition teams Achieve operational excellence Meet all school and network goals for operations including but not limited to attendance student records meals cleanliness school safety and technology Create and drive the implementation of systems and processes that maximize time for instruction and create an environment conducive to safe and joyful learning Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost effective solutions in a timely manner Be a logistics leader Oversee all school events so they are planned in a timely manner and within budget lead purchasing and adhere to all financial procedures and guidelines Ensure all data is kept accurate in the Student Information System Collaborate with staff across the school and network to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement and growth of the organization Who You’ll Be Mission driven professional passionate about increasing college attainment for historically under represented students Social justice champion committed to promoting educational opportunity for all students and families Entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a workplace characterized by autonomy flexibility transparency and accountability Collaborative team player who works well with others from diverse backgrounds uplifts and celebrates our teammates and engages in healthy debate and feedback to get the best results for students and families Resourceful persistent learner with a growth mindset constantly seeking to find a way or make one to master your craft and improve results We’re Looking For Bachelors Degree required 4 years of experience working in school operations preferred People management experience preferred Fluency in written and spoken Spanish preferred We’re Committed To Giving You ...
