Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and in-depth reviews of medical histories
• Assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of surgical issues by analyzing imaging studies and lab results
• Work alongside surgeons to develop and implement personalized surgical treatment plans
• Provide assistance during operations, including preparing the surgical space, ensuring proper patient positioning, and effectively passing instruments
• Deliver outstanding pre- and post-operative care, covering medication administration, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with an emphasis on surgery is highly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physician Assistant
