Winfield Medical Solutions is a leading provider of billing solutions for in-house dispensing programs. Our outstanding pharmaceutical billing program includes claim verification, electronic adjudication, paper submissions, payment processing, denial/short-pay appeals, and legal filings. We primarily handle work comp and personal injury claims. We employ expert billers, and our collection rates far exceed our competition.
We are looking for a Collection/Billing Specialist who possesses attention to detail, as well as good organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities Include: following up on claims, collecting insurance and third-party receivables, and denials.
Primary job functions include, but are not limited to:
· Make daily calls to insurance companies to follow up on filed claims
· Can read and understand EOBs.
· Track and resolve outstanding denials and payment issues.
· Communicate with attorney offices.
· Appropriately document all correspondence with insurance and third-party companies.
· File appeals, update status.
· Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
· Correspond effectively and professionally.
· Other duties as assigned
Technical Skill Requirements:
· PC Computers
· Excel / Word
· Rx Billing software experience a plus
· Outlook (prioritizing calendar for follow ups)
· Standard office equipment
