  • Conduct in-depth psychosocial assessments of clients, identifying their emotional, mental, and social needs related to substance use and recovery.

  • Provide counseling and emotional support to clients, assisting them in navigating the complexities of detoxification and subsequent recovery.

  • Act as a client advocate, ensuring they have access to vital community resources and services necessary for their recovery and ongoing support.

  • Engage in regular follow-up visits and check-ins, monitoring changes in client circumstances and adapting care plans as necessary to enhance their recovery journey.

  • Work with an interdisciplinary team to facilitate effective communication, refine therapeutic strategies, and resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise in client care.

  • Maintain precise documentation of all client interactions, progress notes, treatment plans, and assessments in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

  • Stay updated on best practices in social work, especially those specific to substance abuse recovery, including relevant state and federal regulations.

The primary focus of this role will be on seniors who are experiencing issues related to substance use and other psychosocial challenges. Understanding the unique needs and concerns of this demographic is crucial, as they often have complex and multifaceted issues that require tailored interventions.   • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

  • Current and valid licensure in New Jersey as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).

Compensation and Benefits\n
