ISeries / AS400 System Administrator

We are looking for an experienced iSeries / AS400 System Administrator to manage and support IBM i environments across production, non-production, and DR systems. The role focuses on maintaining the performance, security, and availability of IBM POWER systems running IBM i 7.x. Primary Responsibilities Administer and support IBM i environments (production, non-production, DR). Perform OS upgrades, PTF installations, and firmware updates. Manage LPARs and system resources. Monitor and tune system performance (CPU, memory, disk). Troubleshoot issues with applications, subsystems, jobs, and DB2 for i. Ensure backups, recovery, IPLs, and incident response are executed properly. Administer IBM i security (user profiles, object authorities, auditing). Maintain documentation and runbooks. Act as an escalation point for complex issues. Required Qualifications Strong experience administering IBM i (iSeries / AS400). Hands‑on experience with IBM POWER systems (POWER8‑11). Solid knowledge of IBM i 7.x. Experience supporting mission‑critical production systems. Preferred PTF management and system upgrade experience. Exposure to backup, disaster recovery, or high‑availability solutions. Strong documentation and communication skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr Veriipro
