This role spans the full 2026-27 school year, offering 30 hours per week during the elementary school day. Hourly rates range from $40 to $45, depending on experience.

As an itinerant LVN, you’ll deliver district-wide nursing support, collaborating with educators and families to ensure a safe and healthy school environment. Your expertise in diabetes and asthma management will play a critical role in the well-being of children across the district. Medication management, administration of care plans, and prompt response to nursing needs will round out your essential responsibilities.

Key Requirements:

• Current LVN license issued by the State of California
• Demonstrated experience in pediatric and school nursing
• Proficiency managing diabetes in pediatric settings
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Dependable personal transportation for travel between sites

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to elementary school-aged children
• Oversee and manage student medication administration
• Support diabetic and asthmatic students with daily management
• Respond to medical needs and emergencies across the district’s schools
• Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to address student health needs and develop care plans
