Employee Benefits Manager

Job Title: Employee Benefits Account Manager Work Mode: Hybrid Job Summary: The Employee Benefits Account Manager is responsible for managing account service needs, supporting new and renewal business, coordinating marketing activities, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. This role partners with producers, carriers, and internal teams to maintain account satisfaction, support retention efforts, and provide exceptional service. Key Responsibilities: Manage marketing activities for new and renewal employee benefits accounts. Prepare and review proposals, submissions, applications, and required documentation for accuracy and completeness. Review existing coverage, update account specifications, and analyze loss experience. Maintain account records, carrier details, marketing activity, and status updates. Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers. Review policies, endorsements, audits, and coverage documents for accuracy and compliance. Process premium transactions, invoices, and account-related documentation. Maintain follow-up schedules, suspense files, and expiration control records. Support account servicing activities, including client meetings and enrollment support. Educate accounts on policy coverage, changes, exclusions, and insurance needs. Respond to service inquiries and assist with claim-related issues. Support account retention efforts and manage cancellation requests as needed. Collaborate with other departments for cross-selling opportunities. Maintain compliance with company procedures and industry standards. Participate in training and professional development activities. Qualifications: 2-4 years of previous Life/Employee Benefits insurance experience preferred. State-issued Life and Health insurance license or ability to obtain quickly. Skills & Experience: Strong knowledge of employee benefits insurance markets and coverages. Understanding of underwriting processes and insurance operations. Proficiency with PC applications and agency management systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with teams, managers, carriers, and customers. Hybrid work model based in Dallas, TX or Phoenix, AZ. Occasional local and overnight travel may be required.
