Facility Operations Manager

The Facility Operations Manager is in charge of overseeing all aspects of facility operations in a busy manufacturing setting. This position requires a strategic leader with hands-on experience managing automated systems, warehouse teams, and cross-functional production support to optimize material flow and ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met.ResponsibilitiesLeadership — Direct daily operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, material handling, and distribution to support manufacturing and customer fulfillment.Automation & Technology — Lead the implementation and maintenance of automated systems to optimize performance and uptime.Team Management — Recruit, train, and develop warehouse supervisors, technicians, and material handlers.Safety & Compliance — Ensure compliance with safety regulations and drive proactive safety programs.Process Optimization — Analyze workflow and equipment performance to implement lean practices.Inventory Accuracy — Oversee cycle counts and maintain system accuracy within ERP/WMS platforms.Collaboration — Work with various teams to align warehouse operations with plant goals.Resource Management — Manage budgets, staffing, and vendor relationships.Performance Metrics — Track KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field preferred7–10+ years of warehouse or plant operations leadership experienceProven experience with automation technologiesUnderstanding of lean manufacturing and warehouse optimizationSuccess leading large teams in fast-paced, KPI-driven environmentsProficiency with ERP and WMS platformsStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsSuccess ProfileThe successful Facility Operations Manager is a decisive leader who excels in automation-enabled environments, elevates team performance, and delivers safe and efficient warehouse operations to support manufacturing strategy.
