Quality Assurance Analyst

QA AnalystWe are hiring a QA Analyst for our client located in Everett, MA, for a hybrid assignment. This role supports and maintains critical Background Record Check (BRC) applications and combines functional testing, production support, workflow analysis, and application support to help ensure system reliability, data integrity, and a high-quality user experience for both internal and external stakeholders.The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SQL, functional and automated testing, JIRA/Xray, and application support, along with excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.This is a hybrid position in the Everett, MA, area. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to this location.Please note: No C2C, Subcontracting or Visa Sponsorship of any kind is available for this position.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide expert quality assurance services for business-critical applications.Plan, develop, execute, and lead functional and regression testing activities.Ensure applications meet defined quality standards, business requirements, and technical specifications.Work closely with application development and support teams to identify, troubleshoot, document, and resolve defects.Create complex and comprehensive test data to support application and document testing.Develop and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios, and testing documentation.Utilize JIRA and Xray to manage test cases, defects, testing activities, and results.Perform SQL queries and data validation to verify application functionality and data integrity.Apply automated testing techniques where appropriate to improve testing efficiency and coverage.Provide production support and assist in troubleshooting application issues.Support Contact Center and Background Record Check staff with application-related issues and questions.Analyze complex business workflows and recommend improvements to processes and system functionality.Identify opportunities to improve existing QA procedures, testing methodologies, and operational processes.Develop models and recommendations for potential future system configurations and enhancements.Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.Document findings, defects, resolutions, and recommendations clearly and professionally.Perform other related QA, application support, and administrative responsibilities as needed.Required QualificationsExperience working in a Quality Assurance / Software Testing role.Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and system testing methodologies.Proficiency with SQL and the ability to validate application data.Experience using JIRA, preferably including Xray for test management.Experience with automated testing techniques or tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience troubleshooting application issues and working with technical teams.Ability to create complex test data and develop detailed test scenarios.Strong understanding of application workflows and business processes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with application, technical, and business teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting enterprise or government applications.Experience with production application support.Experience testing applications that manage sensitive or confidential information.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development and QA methodologies.Experience performing workflow analysis and recommending process improvements.What You’ll BringThe successful candidate will be highly detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working across both QA testing and application support functions.
