About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Academic Officer to play a pivotal role in the evolution of medical education. This visionary leader will be at the forefront of redefining educational paradigms in response to digital innovation, artificial intelligence, and the pressing need for a more robust physician workforce. The successful candidate will work closely with the company's leadership to develop and implement a strategic vision that is unencumbered by traditional models, and that anticipates the future needs of the medical profession. Key responsibilities include building and leading teams, establishing strategic partnerships, and driving a research agenda that aligns with the company's mission of advancing the art and science of medicine and public health. The ideal Chief Academic Officer will have a strong national reputation and a background in senior leadership within an academic medical center, health system, professional association, or foundation. A clinical degree (MD or equivalent) with board certification is required to ensure the professional credibility necessary for national-level leadership. The role demands a leader who can navigate complex political and regulatory landscapes, particularly in the areas of accreditation, curriculum, and funding, while promoting precision education, lifelong learning, and collaboration across digital health, AI, and education platforms. The candidate should be a trusted voice in the medical community, capable of representing the company with authority and distinction, and dedicated to the mission of supporting physicians and learners at all stages of their careers.
