AWS/CES is NOW HIRING: Global Commodity Buyer Location: Southfield, MI Fully Onsite Salary: $70,000–$120,000 annually Full Benefits Package We are currently seeking an experienced Global Commodity Buyer to join a growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic procurement professional with strong electronics sourcing experience . Key Responsibilities Manage global sourcing and procurement activities for assigned commodities. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and favorable terms. Support cost-reduction initiatives and supplier performance improvements. Monitor market trends, supply risks, lead times, and commodity pricing. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and other internal teams. Ensure materials and components meet quality, cost, delivery, and technical requirements. Support supplier selection, sourcing strategies, and new product development. Manage purchasing activities while maintaining supply continuity. Required Experience Previous experience in commodity buying, strategic sourcing, or procurement . Strong experience with electronics procurement is required. Knowledge of electronic components and related supply chains. Experience sourcing commodities such as: Sensors Electronic components Other electronic commodities Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and supplier relationship management abilities.
