TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 53215!

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: Skills in cardiac drips, telemetry reading, wound care, chest tube management, and tracheostomy care. Description: Milwaukee, WI - Level III Trauma Center. Comprehensive Stroke Center. Total beds: 933. Unit beds: 27. Patient types include: Cath lab patients, amputations, pre-surgical patients, heart failure patients, and patients with atrial fibrillation and dysrhythmias. Patient ratios are 1:4-5 during days and PM shifts, and 1:6-8 for overnight shifts. Tech ratios are 1:6 during the day and 1:7 overnight. Unit support includes a charge nurse, unit secretary, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and centralized telemetry monitoring. Prior experience with EPIC is preferred. Travelers may float to all inpatient areas within their scope of practice, including possible assignments in ICU and Emergency Departments. Weekend rotation is required, with every other weekend scheduled. Holidays require one summer and one winter shift. There is adherence to a fatigue policy where no one can work more than 60 hours in a week or five consecutive 12-hour shifts. Scrub colors can be any, except camo or denim. Pain levels must be documented before and after administering pain medications. If a patient has a pain score requiring stronger medication, the RN must call for an updated order.
